Important Notice

The Business Administration Diploma has a requirement that you can access a real business environment. You will submit a portfolio of evidence and this relates to your time within the business environment.

Overview

Why choose Diploma in Business Administration?

No matter what sector you work in, business administration is an incredibly useful skillset. Communication skills, analysis and handling information skills, and development and delivery of presentations are all part of this Diploma in Business Administration, which is designed to provide you with a wide base on which to build your career in business.

Business administration isn’t just about being able to take effective notes or to organise a filing system. It’s about understanding the structures that hold a company together and keep it moving forward. Change management, and the principles of business and of administration are all foci of your Diploma in Business Administration, and you will also develop an understanding of the legal context of business governance and how the law affects the way businesses are operated. You will also get a basic grounding in how to organise others, handle diaries, arrange meetings, and generally manage the office efficiently, so it doesn’t matter how high you aim, you will be equipped for any need at work.

If you already work in a business environment, and you’re interested in progressing to the next level, perhaps taking on a supervisory or management role eventually, your Diploma in Business Administration will provide you an additional push, and will effectively prove your commitment to your own development.

Developing your career

How can I follow up my Diploma in Business Administration?

Skilled and effective administrators are worth their weight in gold to a business that’s going places, so your Diploma in Business Administration will prove your skills, and help you become the ‘indispensable’ person in the office.

If you are ambitious, and would like to aim high and become a manager or project manager in business, the skillset you gain in studying your Diploma in Business Administration will never let you down. The skills are transferable, so you won’t have to stick to one industry throughout your career, and you could go on to study a degree in business management, a qualification in project management, or related fields. Many business executives start out as business administrators, and you could work in a variety of sectors including hospitality, retail, small business, sales, supply chain, or operations management.

Although ‘temp’ work doesn’t sound very secure, many top level recruitment agencies exist to provide opportunities for forward-thinking individuals, and these can be very secure jobs in the long term. Your Diploma in Business Administration will stand out on your CV and show consultants and employers alike that you are dedicated, skilled, and competent.
